Medals at Multiple Meets!

It’s been a busy and successful period for Mansfield Swimming Club at the end of November, with swimmers competing at several events and delivering fantastic performances.

Grantham Snowstorm Meet
Two of our swimmers took on the challenge at Grantham Meres pool, a great 8 lane venue. Charlotte and Liam represented the club, with Liam securing 1st place in the 400 IM, making two finals in the 50 Back and 100 Back, and achieving four personal bests. A brilliant effort at a tough meet where awards were limited to the top three in each age group.

Bramcote Open Meet
Eight Mansfield swimmers competed in 57 swims, and despite the pool’s reputation for being slow, they produced outstanding results. Our team collected 29 first places, 7 second places, 8 third places.

The highlight? Mansfield Swimming Club was crowned Top Visiting Club with 270 points – achieved with only eight swimmers!

There was also a new short course record: Fox set a new 10-year girls’ 100 Free record with a time of 1:09.63, beating her previous record from earlier in November.

Etwall Eagles Masters Meet
Clive represented Mansfield at Alfreton, taking 1st place in the 100 IM and 50 Fly, and 2nd in the 50 Free. A great showing at the Masters level.

These results showcase the depth and strength of Mansfield Swimming Club across all age groups and levels. Congratulations to every swimmer who competed 👏
