Mansfield Finish Third in Derby and Notts Junior League Round Two

Mansfield Swim Club’s young swimmers produced an excellent team performance at Round Two of the Derby and Notts Junior League, held at Hucknall Leisure Centre on the 9th May. The squad swam their hearts out and showed great determination and teamwork throughout the evening.

Our swimmers achieved a very impressive 37 personal bests, made up of 18 individual PBs and 19 relay PBs. There was also a fantastic achievement from Fox, who set a short course club record in the 10 years 50 back!

Final team points for the round were:

  • Leander A 195 points

  • Chesterfield 174 points

  • Mansfield 152 points

  • Derby Excel A 143 points

  • Belper Marlin 109 points

  • Hucknall 76 points

The team’s race placings across the evening included nine first places, six second places, four third places, fourteen fourth places, four fifth places, and two sixth places.

This round showcased the progress of the club’s junior swimmers, with strong relay efforts, confident racing and excellent team spirit throughout. Every swimmer contributed to a great evening of competition and the team support poolside and in the stands was fantastic. Congratulations to all swimmers and thank you to all the volunteers who make these events possible.
