Mansfield Swim Club Season gets off to a fantastic start!
The opening two weekends of the season saw Mansfield Swim Club swimmers competing at three events with excellent performances and an impressive early season medal haul.
Robin Hood Long Course Meet
The season began at the Robin Hood Long Course Meet hosted by Sherwood Swimming Club. Four swimmers represented the club and all gained valuable long course experience. Albert swam 3 PBs at his first long course event, Lyra gained 2 PBs and Grace came 2nd in the 50 fly and 100 free and 3rd in the 100 back. Maise came 2nd in both the 100 and 200 back. Well done to all on a brilliant start to the season!
Derby Excel and Repton Back to the Blocks
The second weekend featured two meets. At Moorways Sports Village the Derby Excel and Repton Back to the Blocks event saw Fox and Maya competing in the short course pool. Fox raced in 9 events and won all 9 earning the Top Girl trophy. Both Fox and Maya achieved 2 personal best times each marking an excellent start to their season. Well done both!
Hucknall Sprint Meet
The club also had a large team racing at the Hucknall Sprint Meet held at Hucknall Leisure Centre. 24 swimmers attended and produced a very impressive 34 PBs! Mansfield finished 3rd in the visiting club rankings and collected a total of 46 medals across the day.

We have had several newcomers to the club swimming with us for the first time. It was great to see you all in your Mansfield colours!
