Mansfield Swimmers Shine at Nova Centurion National Qualifier

Mansfield Swimming Club enjoyed a fantastic weekend at the Nova Centurion National Qualifier Meet on 7–8 March at Harvey Hadden. Five swimmers represented the club within the Nova squad, producing 19 swims, 8 personal bests, and an impressive return of medals and long‑course achievements across the team.

Medal Success and Highlights

Isla

Isla delivered one of her best long course performances to date, finishing 5th in the 800m Freestyle and achieving a personal best in the event.

Layla

Layla delivered an outstanding weekend of racing, securing gold in the 50m Breaststroke and bronze in the 200m Individual Medley. Her performance in the IM was particularly special, as she set a new long‑course club record for the event. Alongside her medals, she added strong personal bests to round off an excellent meet.

Fox

Fox dominated her age group with a remarkable four gold medal haul across the 200m Individual Medley, 100m Freestyle, 200m Backstroke and 50m Backstroke. Her 200m IM swim also earned her a new long course club record, capping off a weekend of exceptional racing and well deserved podium finishes.

Zara

Zara produced an excellent swim in the 800m Freestyle, earning herself a place on the podium with a superb bronze medal. She also added personal best improvements across her events, showing great progress in long course competition.

Georgia

Georgia enjoyed a highly successful meet, collecting silver medals in both the 200m Backstroke and 200m Breaststroke, along with a bronze in the 100m Backstroke. She backed up her medal performances with strong personal bests, demonstrating her growing strength across multiple strokes.

A Weekend to Celebrate

With medals, PBs and new club records achieved, this meet highlighted the progress and commitment of our swimmers. Their performances reflect the hard work they put in every week, and the club is incredibly proud of how they represented Mansfield Swimming Club. The long course season is off to a brilliant start, and there is plenty more to come.
