MSC celebrate 14 Regional Qualifiers
Mansfield Swimming Club is proud to celebrate a major achievement, with 14 swimmers qualifying for the East Midlands Regional Long Course Championships 2026. This represents a significant milestone for the athletes involved and reflects the high standards being achieved across the club.
The East Midlands Regional Long Course Championships bring together the top swimmers from Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire. Qualification is highly competitive and is recognised as a major step in a swimmer’s performance pathway, requiring consistency and commitment to the sport.
Of the 14 qualifiers, Lewes, Brodie, Katy, Sope, Harry and Max will represent Mansfield Swimming Club. The remaining qualifiers Charley, Layla, Evie-Mae, Fox, Isla, Georgia, Zara and Noah will compete representing NOVA, underlining the shared success and collaboration across the swimming pathway.
The Championships will take place over two weekends. The opening weekend will be held at Moorways on 25th and 26th April, followed by the second weekend at Corby from 2nd to 4th May, where swimmers will compete against the strongest long course athletes in the region. We are delighted to be represented in almost every event across the programme.
Qualifying for the East Midlands Regional Championships is a huge achievement, and having 14 swimmers reach this level is a tremendous credit to the athletes, coaches and support networks involved.
Mansfield Swimming Club wishes all qualifiers the very best as they prepare to compete and represent themselves and the clubs with pride.
